Elopement Wedding Photography at The Lasker Inn, Galveston, Texas
Sometimes, being a wedding photographer, means being a guest. Especially, when the bride and groom run away for a secret wedding ceremony just between the two of them. This was the case with Bill and Erika, a couple who decided to elope rather than wed in traditional ceremony with a fancy wedding in front of many friends and family.
They chose to tie-the-knot at the Lasker Inn, where they stayed for the weekend two blocks from the beach. They asked me to be their wedding photographer, as I was also a guest. The three of us, plus the wedding officiant from the Lasker Inn, had a ceremony in the grand ball room, congratulated with a toast, and then had some cake. We did a small wedding photography portrait session around the property before going up to the rooftop to watch the setting sun. The following morning we met at sunrise at the beach for another portrait session near the waves to complete their wedding weekend.
